Martínez: Tu aimes ou tu détestes ? ♥️🤬 Love him or hate him? Martinez... comme un air de déjà vu... Et j'ai tant de questions! Hier, j'étais à la Decathlon Arena Stade Pierre Mauroy de Lille, pour le 1/4 de finale retour de l'UEFA Europa Conference League Tout comme j'étais au stade du Lusail au Qatar lors de la finale de la Coupe du monde FIFA Les 2 matchs se sont terminés aux tirs aux buts Les 2 fois avec un show d'Emiliano Martínez Les 2 fois avec la victoire de son équipe, avec la défaite de la mienne Le gardien a donc de nouveau joué à perturber les joueurs adverses Mais aussi cette fois à provoquer le public. Et après plusieurs avertissements verbaux, il s'est cette fois pris un carton jaune... sachant qu'il en avait déjà pris un pendant le match, tout le monde ou presque, joueurs, spectateurs, commentateurs, ont cru à son expulsion... sauf qu'une règle méconnue dit que les compteurs sont remis à zéro à ce niveau lors des TAB (du coup il aurait fallu un 3e jaune, ou rouge direct, pour le sortir) Certains ont alors cru que l'arbitre ne réalisait pas que Martínez avait déjà un jaune, d'autres que le carton avait juste été montré pour le menacer, mais pas mis... alors qu'au final c'est "juste" que le premier ne comptais plus... Tant de choses sur lesquelles réagir : 1. Martínez a-t'il raison de tout faire pour perturber les joueurs adverses ? 2. Martínez avait-t'il raison de provoquer les supporters adverses après ses arrêts ? 3. Aimerais-tu l'avoir dans ton équipe ? 4. Connaissais-tu la règle pour les cartons lors des TAB ? 5. Qu'as-tu pensé quand le carton rouge n'est pas sorti ? 6. Penses-tu qu'il faudrait changer la règle ? My FIFA Women's World Cup 2023 summed up - My 2nd FIFA Women's World Cup, my 6th FIFA World Cup, my 9th international football tournament - 2 host countries, Australia & Aotearoa New Zealand, where I went for the first time (and same goes for Oceania in general) - 4 cities for me (Auckland, Sydney, Brisbane, Adelaide), 5 stadiums (as Sydney had 2), and 2 FIFA Fan Festivals - 12 games attended live, making me surpass the total mark of 100 games in international football tournaments (now 104), including the opening one with the World Cup opening ceremony (my 3rd ones at FIFA World Cup & 4th at an international football tournament) and the final with its World Cup closing & award ceremonies (my 5th ones at a FIFA World Cup and 6th at an international football tournament) - 16 teams seen (from all the 5 most commonly recognized continents, and including 5 teams, from 3 continents, I had never seen play live before): France my team for all their games, meaning x 5, both host nations with Australia x 4, and New-Zealand x1, England x2, and once for Norway, Jamaica, Colombia, South Korea, Nigeria, Brazil, Panama, Netherlands, South Africa, Denmark, Morocco, Spain - A new World Cup winner, Spain, with an interaction minutes later with 3 of its players, Irene Guerrero, Olga Carmona the sole goal scorer, most valuable player of the final & winner team captain, and Aitana Bonmatí the Golden Ball (best player of the tournament) - I attended games of Les Bleues with their families - I met the French team & delegation at their hotel and exchanged a few words with many of them - I met with the most renowned female referee & history maker Stephanie Frappart - I met again with the 2 most powerful women at FIFA (and in football in general), its Secretary General Fatma Samoura, and its Chief Women's Football Officer Sarai Bareman, that I first got to know personally on the occasion of the inaugural FIFA Women's Football Convention, in 2019 in Paris, during which I was invited to go on stage - I met former FIFA World Cup players Formiga (the only football player in history to play in 7 World Cups, and 7 Olympic Games), Sue Mont & Ellen Beaumont, numbers 9 & 144 for the Australian Women's National Team, Tim Cahill again (with whom I got to play a football game in a World Cup stadium last year), Laura George again & again - I visited the FIFA Museum pop-up Women's World Cup exhibition, and being recognized by its curator who informed me I currently had videos of myself on display at the main Fifa Museum - I met again with dozens of fans, content creators, journalists, MCs, etc., that I have the honor to call friends - I made dozens of new friends (including many with whom I would finally meet, after having started to known each other online, through the FIFA Fan Movement or Qatar 2022 Fan Leader Network) - I photographed/videorecorded hundreds of smiling fans, who would make it a point to show their support, no matter their age, their gender, or their physical abilities - I appreciated the dedication of volunteers (I was a volunteer myself on previous occasions and know how valuable they are) - I got interviewed by Fifa Women's WorldCup, FIFA+, and international medias (GoalGlobal, France2, TntSports, SBT, Fox Sports...), was featured in a dedicated news segment, and appeared live during games on TV with world wide coverage and at the stadium - I spent 220 Australian Dollars (140 USD, 130 Euros), only, on match tickets (prices were very low to start with, but I also could buy several ones on the FIFA resale platform for less than their original price, and 3 tickets were offered to me including one by a player & her brother, and one in hospitality / a private suite of sponsors/fans of the team my country was facing - I hitchhiked 5000km & crowdfunded a flight (mostly in exchange of later teaching French) - I had 32 nights out of 32 for free: 27 through CouchSurfing, meaning staying at their home after we first got to know each other online, and 5 through hitchhiking - I didn't really have time for tourism during the tournament, but I got to visit Aotearoa New Zealand before it started and I will do so with Australia now (see more on @ExploreFeelGood), and I still got to spot several endemic animals here 🙂 What an adventure it's been once again ("I told you so" as once said Johnny Warren alias Captain Socceroo about the upcoming popularity of football in Australia) Thanks to everyone who's been part of this journey!
